Three CBS RADIO Individuals Inducted into Country Radio Hall of Fame Class of 2016

The Country Radio Broadcasters announced the inductees for the 2016 Country Radio Hall of Fame, with three CBS RADIO individuals on the list.  This year’s class includes US99.5’s Lisa Dent, CBS RADIO Detroit Operations Manager Tim Roberts, and recently retired and former CBS RADIO Minneapolis Senior Vice President and Market Manager Mick Anselmo.

Founded in 1974, the Country Radio Hall of Fame is dedicated to the recognition of those individuals who have made significant contributions to the country radio format – whether it is on-air or behind the scenes.

Since 2007, Dent has hosted the morning show at US99.5 in Chicago along with her co-host Ramblin’ Ray Stevens.  She and Stevens have received numerous awards throughout the years – they were named Personality of the Year by the Country Music Association twice and Country Radio Board Morning Show of the Year three times.  This past year, the duo were named Academy of Country Music Personality of the Year.

Roberts has served as CBS RADIO Detroit’s Operations Manager and Program Director of 99.5 WYCD since 2005.  Under his leadership, the station has been honored with numerous accolades including Station of the Year awards from the CMA and the Academy of Country Music, as well as a Marconi Award.

Finally, Anselmo was most recently Senior Vice President and Market Manager of CBS RADIO Minneapolis.  Prior to retiring in December 2015, Anselmo was instrumental in launching the country station BUZ’N 102.9 in the market in 2011.  In 2013, he was inducted into the Minnesota Broadcasting Hall of Fame.

The 2016 inductees will be recognized by country star Luke Bryan during the annual CRS 2016 Opening Ceremony on Monday, Feb. 8 in Nashville.
