Nine CBS RADIO Stations Awarded With 25 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards

Four Stations Take Home Overall Excellence Awards

NEW YORK, NY, April 25, 2017– Today, The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) announced the winners of this year’s prestigious Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.  Nine CBS RADIO stations received a total of 25 awards with four stations honored with Overall Excellence awards, including WCBS-AM, New York; WBBM-AM, Chicago; KCBS-AM, San Francisco; and WBZ-AM, Boston.

Since 1971, the annual Edward R. Murrow awards have recognized outstanding achievements in electronic journalism.  Recipients of these awards exemplify the excellence Murrow set as a standard for the profession of electronic journalism.
